I am constantly searching for a personal truth in my paintings. I often have to put my own path on hold, however, and focus on the various commercial markets I paint for. My personal approach to painting is one of dialogue, meeting personal challenges, always learning, and solving problems. I have pushed the boundaries of watercolour, applying it to canvas back in 2001 and sealing works on paper with an acrylic medium starting in 1993. With the addition of gouache to my lexicon I can achieve a more painterly form of expression. |
