At dawn on the east coast, when a wave washes onto the beach and pulls back, the sand is covered with a film of water for a short time that is perfectly reflecting. The beach becomes a glorious, luminous sheet of colour. I realized that with special effect pigments, I could capture that light. This abstract seascape succeeds.
